| car runs ruff at idle...should the converter be stalling...so engine can free wheel?
| hey everyone...i was wondering...my car runs fine and is running good...but at the stop lights...the engine runs ruff/feel some vibration....as if the car wants to go...so i started thinking my 01 silverado with 496/allison...does not do this....you feel nothing from engine /vibration at a stop light...so i thought on my truck at a idle is the torq converter alowing the motor to spin freely...and should my camaro be doing this?....should the converter alow the engine to spin freeley at idle and then start to grab as you start to give it gas at green light??...even at 500 rpm...you need to realy keep the brake on so it wont move....shouldn't it be stalling??
