Re: please help super t10 ratio x rear gear ratio

What's wrong with the current ratios?
What are the available choices anyway? Might want to contact a company that makes the gears. Tremec is a good start, to see what's available.

Also, this is a third gen forum, not first or second so....

Re: please help super t10 ratio x rear gear ratio

Use the calculator in this link. You can plug in any ratio you want and it'll give you the answers you're looking for. http://www.5speedtransmissions.com/startlineratio.html For what it's worth, if you went with the 2.64 first gear in the trans, and a rearend gear around 3.55 to 3.73, you'd have a great launch. 3.42 is way too low for 1st gear in the trans unless you're running 2.73's in the rear, or have a 6 cylinder engine.

Re: please help super t10 ratio x rear gear ratio

why not change the rear end gears? you could do a 3.08 with that t-10 and have great acceleration.

Re: please help super t10 ratio x rear gear ratio

you will like your current trans ratio's with the 3.08's better. meaning lower rpm highway and great acceleration. do the math.
