vss for a th400

what did you guys use for the vss on a th400. I have a 88 firebird and i want my speedo to work. I have a coans th400 and it has a block off cap (that can be removed) over the hole where the vss would go. It is alot larger hole than my stock one for my t5 was. please pm me with a website or if someone had a extra part laying around.

#64. Speed Sensor and Rotor (speedometer VSS) for the TH400 transmission. Comes with the O-ring. Cost $208.00 for both. Speed sensor $125.00. Rotor $83.00

So this is what we both need to make a th400 and our factory speedo work. Iv looked and looked and asked on here and nobody had a clue what I was asking for? What I called on was The vss for a th400 but they didnt have a picture of the plug or anything and it was like 250 they said. But that will work? I dont have a clue what the hell Im doing lol

Jeeze you guys just like getting raked over the coals.

Early 2 pulse: http://www.jegs.com/i/Painless/764/6...746169%7C10409

Late 4 pulse: http://www.jegs.com/i/Painless/764/6...746169%7C10409

Just put the speedometer gears back in there, thread the sensor on like it was a cable drive for the speedometer.

No that part wont work either, it is a 40 tooth reluctor type, that would be used with an LT1 or LS1 factory computer.

Re: vss for a th400

Huge Bump. We have a 91 GTA with TCI TH 400 in it. Lately I realized it may be better if we keep track of mileage on parts and want the Speedo to work. I read this thread but i dont see any results.

The tranny has this sticking out with a cap on the end. (bottom left)

What else do we need to get the speedo to work?

TIA
