700r4 not shifting--HELP!

Just like the title says, my 700r4 just started having problems this morning. During city driving (in OD), it won't shift till around 4000. If I let off the gas for a sec, it'll slam into gear. Occasionally, I'll leave a stoplight and have NO pep...almost like it's starting in second. However at freeway speeds, there's no problem and it shifts fine.

I got off the freeway this morning and shifted it into drive. In drive, it's ALMOST okay. Like a toned down version of my overdrive problem.

I checked my fluid level and it's okay, but the fluid is a tan color. No froth or bubbles, but clearly it's time to change it--and I hope that fixes my problem!

Has anyone dealt with something like this? What's going on with my tranny? Like so many of us, this is my daily driver and I about crapped myself when this happened this morning. Help!

Bump...Just picked up the filter and fluid. Hopefully changing it tonight will fix the problem.

Sounds like unfortunately you are having throttle valve sticking issues. When you change the fluid look for tiny metallic particles in the pan if they are there then you have a big problem
