Okay guys i have just swapped a new 700r4 in with a new motor on my car.
My only issue is im leaking tranny fluid. At first it was the lines. I then fixed them.
Now it looks as if im leaking out of the dipstick. the dipstick is the original one from the old tranny.
Is there a seal or gasket i needed? or is it too overfilled if its leaking from there? Im really confused
I thought maybe the oil pan gasket, but the whole area where the dipstick goes in is oily

same thing happened to me. new packing fixed it. make sure your dipstick didn't get bent or anything while you had things apart and that its torqued down tight.
