I have an Auburn that I recently installed and yes mine does it too. The differential is a hard locking one that really does not want to unlock, but does when it has to. I have changed various fluids and it still grinds/clunks. This is normal even though it saounds horrible.

Oh good, I just had one of these put in recently, and it does that alot. I though they screwed up putting it in or it was faulty. Hooks nicely though.
