TV Lokar kickdown braket for carb and 700r4

I have recently done the tbi to carb swap and while everything is great so far my tranny is shifting odly. I have adjusted the tv cable and all i get is eighter high hard swifts or wimpy slow shifts that never let the rev go up when at wot. It seems my "pepboys" universal linkage is not right for this. It looks like its not getting enough travel(or angle is wrong). What have you guys done to correct this problem, which braket etc, can i get one of an lg4? that will work on a performer rpm manifold and edelbrock carb. I called lokar and they said i not only needed thier linkage but thier tv cable and lord knows what else. Can i just use the braket. Any help/tips would be greatly apreciated

Thanks!!!

I was told by Edelbrock to call LOKAR and was talked into their bracket, throttle cable and TV cable (about $200, if I remeber correctly). Got the parts, put on the bracket and throttle cable, took off their bracket and throttle cable, put on old throttle cable, bought cheap bracket from auto parts store, works fine. If you want the LOKAR stuff give me a buzz and I will sell you mine. It seemed like too much trouble using their stuff. The TV cable does not have a ratchet adjuster and getting the TV cable installed sees like a huge project. I would not go that route if I were you.
