well this past weekend i did a full fluid/filter change on my 88 s/c . ( a replacement for my 89 r/s t-5 that was T boned ) . well it seems to shift o.k. , but not real firm shifts . i still have many wire hack jobs to fix . also a bunch of vacuum leaks to repair . i assume the soft shifts are due to all the vacuum leaks ( the vacuum ball is not even connected ) . can anyone confirm this for me ? i am not very familiar with the 700r4 . anyway this is one of many gremlins i am trying to remedy . i know , i drove it before i bought it but did not really get on it . the price was right and if i need a new tranny , so be it . oh well , i'm leaning toward vacuum leaks , any comments ? thanks in advance .
