T56 handle a 502 Big Block?

Will a T56 6-speed live behind a 502 BBC? Can any mods. be performed to strenghen it?

I really don't know what kind of torque you're talking about your 502 putting out but I know that the Dodge Viper uses a T-56 and it makes 450 HP and 490 lb.-ft. of torque.

What manual transmissions are available for this range of power output (700/700+ hp/tq)?
Tremec? Anything modified? Help ... I don't want to be stuck behind an AT !?!

A friend of mine with a 718 hp 69 camaro just called richmond gear...they have a suitable one for about $2500. I honestly dont know any of the details, but you may want to call them.
