700r4 manual lock up?

i have a 700r4 out of a 1984 corvette and there are three wires coming out of the square hook up. a red, orange with black stripe, and blue. i think if i hook the orange to a ground then the red one to a toggle switch that goes to the battery then hook the blue one up to the brake lights that i can manualy lock it. would this work? and if not how would i hook up the wires? thanks, Matt.

You need power on pin A and ground on pin D.

You'll have to look at the connectors to see which pin is which.
