No personal experience, but I've heard that the Richmonds are slightly noisy because of the stronger tooth design. After all, they are aftermarket performance gears used by people who have noisy cars anyway.

If you have to buy the Eaton or Auburn new, you might consider a take off Torsen and 28 spline axles instead. It's no more work, since the axles have to come out anyway.
