I want to get rid of all the cruise control unit under the hood, all i know that has to do with the CC is the plunger thing behind the headlights. What else can or has to be removed? I want it gone as it does not work anymore and i don't drive this car on the highway anyways.
That's the actuator. There's a vacuum ball for it, on the underside of the tray. There are vacuum hoses running to it from the plenum, and the brake pedal. Finally there's an electronic module in the dash, near where a glove box would normally be. You'll trim a good 3 lbs off the car by removing everything.

SO the vaccum lines need to be removed/plugger and the ecu for it removed.... will that affect anything electronically? Thanks
It's a totally independent system. You could just remove the vaccum line from the plenum and plug it, and the system won't operate or throw any codes..
