I'm trying to find out what this bird has for running gears? I've ran into a lot of misinformation and opinions. Thanks

Download the RPO Decoder from the home page, WS6 is a performance package, G80 is posi, G92 is performance gearing. IF and I mean IF nobody has changed the rearend or gearing. Look at the tech information for your year and model of Firebird/TransAM on the home page.

Re: 1986 Firebird Trans Am GW6 G92 G80

G80 is posi-traction rear differential
GW6 is 3.27 rear axle ratio
G92 is the performance axle ratio option(3.27 ratio in this case)
