Anyone know what year the rear pinion bearing size changed in 9 bolt rearends?

BW used different size rear pinion bearings (the one closest to the gear) on the 9 bolt rearends. Does anyone know what year they changed?

I have an 89 IROC with a 9 bolt rearend that I swapped out a few years back. I notice the rear pinion bearing in the 9 bolt that I installed was smaller than the one in the rear I took out (89).

Now, I'm switching out the ring and pinion on this "mistery" 9 bolt and need to buy a ring gear install kit and the tech at National Driveline shows only one bearing size so I need to identify the year (range) of the rear I have. Is there a date code on the axel housing?
