Whats the best manual transmission?
I want to do a 4 spd or 5 spd manual transmission swap in my bird and don't know which one will work best. I plan on having the car make about 400 horse and 450 ft/lbs of torque and I don't want a t-56. Thanks

I have heard good things about super T10 4 speeds, for 5 speeds tremec makes tko 500's (500 ft/lbs torque) and tko 600's (600 ft/lbs torque).

With your 3.27:1 axle, I'd be considering the TKO500. 3.27:1 first gear, 0.68:1 overdrive. Fine.

I don't feel like shifting six gears and yeah I'm trying to keep it some what stock apearing just beacuse I want to keep things simple and easy to fix.

i would say just deal with it and go with the t56. It can be done a lot cheaper than a t10 ot tko swap, and it will looks completely stock from inside the car. If you dont like 6th gear, dont use it.

A tko swap will run you at least 2500 bux.

a t56 swap can usually be found use for about a grand, minus crossmember
