700R4 WONT SHIFT

I drove the car to work and it shifted fine got in the car after work was messing around slid sideways and now the car wont shift. The car will move all the way up to 5500 rpms and wont shift. i dont understand what happen please help

Could be a governor problem such as a broken or stripped governor gear.

To check the condition of the governor, remove the round dome-shaped cover at the rear left-hand side of the trans, then pull the governor out for inspection.
