ProBuiltAutomatics: Dana!!

I placed a few orders with Dana about a month ago and I am trying to contact him in regards to these orders. I have some questions for him about components in the kits. The problem is that I have been calling and emailing for the past 2 weeks about this issue and have not been able to get ahold of him at all. Every time I have called, it rings about 7 times and goes to his voicemail. I have sent numerous emails using his email address in my hotmail inbox and i have also used the messaging center on his 700r4l60e.comn page. Anyone have any ideas on how else to contact him?

Dana, if you see this message, please contact me through your website as my login name is onegonewild. Thanks

In the instructions for the kit, he noted not to use the original 3-4 return springs in the 4l60e. The kit does not come with any new ones and I am positive that you can not leave these springs out. Just wondering from Dana what needs to be done.

I don't know what kit you have? Your talking about the Servo correct? I had the 2-3 and jr kit. I put a blue spring in mine. but if you are only using the 2-3 kit I think you leave them out and put the 3 think and 3 thin shims in it's place.

the 3-4 apply piston return springs? I would venture to guess he is talking about the little side release springs that were added in to some models and have long since been reccomended to be discarded during a rebuild. They didn't even come factory in many years(and even the factory later reccomended their removal during a rebuild).

In the 3-4 clutch pack youll find 4 I think little recatangles that have 2 thin springs in each. Those can be tossed out like said above theyre not recommened to be reinstalled.

BTW if you want to reach Dana leave him a message on his voicemail and within a day he will call back. Hes a great guy and busy so you have to be patient some times.

Re: ProBuiltAutomatics: Dana!!

2 outta 3 times dana picked up for me. I've called him about 7 or so times with in the last two weeks and he was very helpfull and I purchased a stall from him so , I've no complaints with him. He's a busy guy and today I called him about a questoin about billing and he answered it to the best that he could ,and then about 5 mins later calls my work(where i called from) sat on hold for 5mins, before I was able to get to a phone and then answered my question in full detail. Btw I did'nt give him my work number or ask him to call back......So in summery I feel that he trys his best.

Re: ProBuiltAutomatics: Dana!!

What Dana I s referring to are the 4 square pices in the drum the black ones with the little springs.
Dana uses the transgo hd2 which comes with stiffer springs that actually go down in the drum so the extra helper springs are not needed,

The rumors of you closing shop isn't true is it? I'd like to buy a tranny from you when I blow up the stocker with my new setup.

I haven't gone anywhere, just trying to save a 33+year marriage, that has taken its toll, but it is working out now. So I will be around for years to come, unless something happens to me. Dana
