700r4 auto shifting questions

Hey guys, so here is the deal - When you drive like a grandma she shifts fine, when you try to go into WOT it seems like it is a manuel and you left your foot on the clutch to long (shift delay). At high speeds she seems to have a slight delay to drop into passing gear, but if you shift manuely she will rip your head off. My question is this a torque convertor or is it the trans slipping.

FYI - Fluid checks fine, tried adjusting the TV cable, and she has not ran more than 15,000 miles in the past 10 years (I owned for 6 and have not placed over 3000)

Any feedback would be greatly appreicated.

Re: 700r4 auto shifting questions

Maybe the TV cable is old and stretched out. I just replaced mine and all is well now. Sometimes the shifts are at 4k, other times they go up to 5k. I'm going to put in a new TB cable in the next couple weeks.
