Hurst dual gate in a Firebird, can be done..

For those of you who wanted to know if the hurst dual gate would work in a firebird, the answer is yes. There is some modifications to be done to the console cover (same as with a megashifter) and also, the ash tray has to be cut up to clearance the park lock cable. None of this can be seen though unless you take the top off of the console...

I had a megashifter and just got this today, besides their tech help being nonexistant, it went in ok, easier than the megashifter..

The ash tray doesn't fit in the Camaro either.

Well then I suppose the only difference is that the top cover needed to be cut, on a camaro it just bolts in I think..
