Do I have a long or short tail TH350?

How do I know which one I have? Which one is the stronger one?

------------------
1990 GTA
-355 carb'd, nicely reworked '64 vette heads, 2500 stall, 4.10's, other small things.
-Alston SFC's, Eibach Pro-kit, Koni's all around
-100+ nitrous shot
-Cruising in style with leather and nice stereo.

Neither is really stronger. The longer one is usually more common in pickups. Measure the length of the tailshaft housing. 6 is short 9 is long I think.

------------------
350 with stealth intake, holley carb, 470 lift cam. 700r4 with .5 boost valve, vette servo, tci lock-up kit, B&M megashifter. Richmond 3.73 gears, powertrax locker, timkin bearings, synthetic lube. Custom 3 inch single into 2 2.5 pipes. 1 1/2 drop springs, 1 5/16 solid front sway bar, 1 inch rear bar, custom subframe connectors, custom LCA relocation brackets. Kobel ground FX, currant red metallic paint. Lots of other stuff...

I think the short one. You can either use a short 350 and 200 shaft or a long 350 and the 700R4/T5 shaft.

Spud,
The engine, trans, and rearend from the '82 are in the GTA so it still lives on, but the body in the camaro was a mess so I had to cut my losses and move on. Found the GTA as a rolling chassis with leather interior and a nice suspension...I'm very happy
