LS1 and LT1 Clutch question

I'm building a resto-mod 49 Chevy sedan, I'm thinking about cramming in a LS1 engine with a 5 speed. I was looking up clutches and comparing sizes and such. This is where the question comes in the LT1 seems to be the same size and spline as the LS1 clutch but is there a difference. I ask this because the LS1 clutch is a hell of alot more expensive then a LT1.

Re: LS1 and LT1 Clutch question

LS1 is a push clutch, LT1 is a pull clutch. Major differences in everyway between the two, besides the above obvious.

The Stock LS7 clutch&FW is the best $/performance LSx setup right now IMHO.
