Hard to shift on T5 WC

My 1990 T5 has become extremely hard to shift. No grinding between gears just physically difficult. Its on and off depending on the day. Weather temperature doesn't seem to affect it. Anyone know any reasons or fixes for this? Thanks

dude im having this same problem and its really annoying...some days i cannot even get the car into reverse so ive been pushing alot lately. let me know if you find a solution.
