Hi all I am hoping that someone knows what the thread size/pitch is for the transmission cooler lines on the 700R4. I am gathering all the parts for my swap and am hung up on this. I would like to run some threaded pipe to AN fittings and run stainless steel braided hose up to the transmission cooler in the front. I just need to know what size they are. Also, what would be a good size hose to run? I was thinking something like a -6. From what I have read the factory lines were what, 3/8ths and a -6 would be very close to that size. Also, I might end up adding a gauge for transmission temperature. If I were to do that, could I just add a AN fitting inline that has a 1/4 NPT fitting for an electric temp gauge and run it in the cooler line coming out of the tranny? Thanks for any info, Paul M

Thanks for the reply. I just spent about 20 minutes on jegs.com looking through the fittings and adapters section, and could not find any fittings that were 5/16 inverted flare to -6 AN. Do they even make an adapter fitting specifically for that, or will I have to make something else work? All the adapters that I saw on jegs were converting NPT to AN and the sizes were either 1/4 or 1/8 sizes and no x/16 sizes were listed. Am I looking up the wrong stuff?
