Rebuilding a 700R4

I want to rebuild my 700R4 transmission as the 3-4 pack is gone. I don't have much money to spend so I was wondering if this is a good package and if it would work.

Let me know. thanks!

Also will be buying this: http://www.700r4l60e.com/store/produ...&cat=56&page=1

On a scale of 1 to 10 how difficult is it to rebuild a transmission? How long will it take me about from the time I have it out to the time I have it put back together?

Re: Rebuilding a 700R4

I do not know the brand of the parts in the Autozone kit. Therefor I can't say whether I'd use it or not. If you're getting the Pro-Built shift kit anyway I would just step up to his treet/strip kit which will have everything you need and I know for a fact that the parts Dana sells are the best quality.

Plan on at least a full weekend to do the rebuild. Take your time and make sure everything is clean, like hospital clean. You will need a couple of special tools to do the rebuild too, so don't forget to budget for them.
