Yes but its still a 7 3/4 rear at the end of the day. Ive heard of people setting them up and getting 400 to the wheels with them but im pretty sure there is not too much "beating" involved. A 9 bolt is certainly stronger than a 10 bolt by design but not by too much. I stand by what i said. If hes going to be putting that kind of power to the ground he can run a 9 bolt but he has to be prepared for it to break if he launches hard and hooks up. If hes running it on the street with street tires and traction problems then it will probably hold up for awhile longer. Once slicks and dragracing are brought in he can say goodbye to it eventually.
