1988 Trans Am Rear end Help

Hey,
I drive a 1988 Gta Trans am automatic 305 tpi and i was wondering if anyone knew the stock gears in my car. I was wondering if it was 273 or 323 or somthing else, i am not quite sure. I would also like to know where i could purchase 373 gears for my car. I'm looking for light to light speed with comfortable around town driving also. I was told 373 was the way to go. Feel free to give your own opinion. Oh yea it has 19k miles original.

Thanks,
Dac

Welcome to TGO. A search on site is always a good thing as most questions have been asked and answered.

The best bet is to yank the cover and verify what you have. That said, check the following link:

If you truly have 2.73's, you have a 10-bolt. Check the following link for the info you require:

http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/tr...-10-bolts.html (FAQ About 10-Bolts)

You can purchased a gear set from Summit, Jeg's, etc.
