I have a B and M pro shifter and a rebuilt 700R4. A friend of mine mentioned the shifter was way to hard to move through R/N/and the rest of the forward gears. He thought the cable was bound up or had been heated by exhaust and the cable was shot. I disconnected the cable from the transmission and the shifter moves freely. Is there an adjustment to make on the tranmssion for the gear selection? I went to the track on saturday night and it was the first time the car had been driven except off and on a trailer and when in D the car did not have 1st gear. When I manually shifted it the car left hard but I overreved the engine because moving the shifter was way too hard. The owner of the transmission shop went through a divorce and moved away so I am on my own I guess.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Steve
