even if it is really an iroc, a 5 speed does not make it rare, depending on options and sunch it could be uncommon more or less, but not rare. Its a 3rd gen, if its in bad shape, dont bother, you can still find quite nice ones for cheap.
21,177 iroc's made in 85, not sure of the breakdown between manula and standard shift.
i dont have the rpo codes for the engine yet, getting them tomarrow
but it doesnt have the original engine, so it doesnt matter much
he said it was an HO 305 (before they yanked it), t top, 5 speed with 50k-ish on the body and a rebuilt 350.
its supposedly a california car with zero rust so thats a big seller for me in the chicago area, everything is a rust bucket here.
I know the T5 wont hold up long to a built 350 but maybe that will give me an excuse to put a 6 speed in it...... and an LSX....... and.... well we all know where this ends up.
Anyway, i personally havent seen many manual 3rd gens so it seemed like rare car and maybe worth a little xtra, thats why i asked the experts.
Any other opinions? and maybe a breakdown of manuals to autos for 85 IROCS?
you will see quite a few manual camaros, not as many as autos of course. Manual v8 firebirds are quite uncommon, ever try finding a shifter plate for one of those?
as for exact breakdowns, im not sure those records were kept.

IIRC, all HO's in 85, some 2500, were 5-speeds with 3.73's. And then, of course, there were the LG4's, like my 85 IROC, some of which were equipped with manuals.
