Rear Swap

I have a full built rear from a 70 camaro that i am trying to put in my 88 camaro. Is there any way of doing this before i start ripping things apart?

Re: Rear Swap

Nope.

Second gen uses leaf springs. Third gen uses coil spring and a torque arm suspension. There's no way to attach the torque arm onto the second gen diff.

Re: Rear Swap

It can be done, but it's A LOT OF WORK. Is the '70 rear end a 10 bolt or 12 bolt? If it's a 12 bolt then sell it and put that money toward a Moser 12 bolt. If it's a 10 bolt then it will be the 8.2, which isn't much better than the 7.5 that you have now.
