I keep dumping trans fluid into my 700R4 and I swear its a bottomless pit. After I top it off, shift through all of the gears it seems fine, full. Then I'll take the car out for a spin and if I romp on it, the next day the transfluid seems a quart low again! I fixed a few leaks and put in new lines recently. There is no huge drippings on the garage floor, certainly not a quart size puddle lol. The dip stick tube is a bit loose. I had to hack off the deal that holds it to the block because I just couldnt install it. My only guess is when I put pressure on it by shifting through the gears it spills out on the road. The dipstick tube seemed to be a bit wet but I as guessing that is just vapor from heat making the trans fluid rise up but... it shouldnt leak from the block where the dipstick goes in right? This is just weird... maybe someone is stealing my fluid lol who knows...

it could be since the trans builds more pressure when driving what looks like a small spot on the garage floor is larger when driving


i had the same issue for a few days after i swapped out the govenor

only had a drop on the floor the next day till i watched it when running it leaked more

the transmission builds much more pressure then engine oil sees its one thing for you to have a drop or 2 of engine oil but its a very bad thing for drops of trans fluid

you may want to check the vent tube in the top of the transmission if it is clogged or blocked off it will cause the trans to vent and burp thru the dipstick tube just take a small piece of wire and insert it into vent tube to check it and there is no mistake which is the vent tube it is the only thing on the very top of the trans just behind the bellhousing

I'll check that vent tube thing out. If its pretty small then it might be clogged, there is some thick grime under there.
