Beefing up a (broken) 9 Bolt rear end. HEELP!

Hi guys, I’m not trying to make it easy on myself, I just don’t know anything about rear ends so I need lots of help.

PROBLEM: Broken 9 Bolt 2.77 rear end (something broke inside, I don't have means of actually checking what broke but wheels are stuck going forward, do go back).

WHAT I NEED: To rebuild it with strongest parts possible to handle some serious power (hopefully it would handle at least 400 hp if such rebuilt is possible).

I read this artice: Beefing Up the 7.625 10 Bolt here: http://www.thirdgen.org/beefinguprear

Essentially I would like to do the same thing to my 9 Bolt, rebuilt it very strong but I need the list of parts for the 9 bolt just like kwikgta listed for his 10 bolt, part numbers, any additional parts I would need (I know I will need new gears cause I want strong ones and either 3.42 or 3.73 not sure yet). And of course where to buy all this.

Thank you all in advance. Please keep in my I know nothing about rear ends so please list all parts I need even if you don’t know part numbers. I would like to use my current brakes (got discs in the rear).

I am stressing so much that I need a complete list of parts because my plan is to buy all parts and then tow my car to a mechanic, give him parts and not have a headache of him telling me that I'm missing something. I also need a good posi, so please include info on a good strong one too.

Again, I know I'm asking for much but I will greatly appreciate any help.

Parts availability for the 9 bolt is a problem. You're not going to find all the aftermarket stuff you see for the 10 bolt. This link will help:

http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/fa...now-about.html (Everything I know about 9-Bolt Rearends!)

I'd guess your spider gears are toast.

Be aware that 3.xx gears won't fit on your 2 series carrier.

That is correct. You will need a 3 series carrier, which I have, but the posi is worn. I can include all the internal parts.
