Why not simply replace it with a new one-piece cable?

I HAVE ONE

Ahh the old header heat....should have wrapeped it with heat resistant tape or cloth! been there done that! Actually the one piece one is the stock equipment but when you replace them they sell you two, at least that`s how mine ended up.

I have one that is practically new (has the junction just outside the firewall) It already has some heat tape on it and spins flawlessly. I took it out of the car 4 years ago when I made this a track only car. PM`d you details about selling it

THANKS JAMES C. but the reason is that the original factory cable is i bit thicker than the 8.00 one at autozone. I tried it before and the cable keeps coming out of the speedo gear in the trans. I actually bought ANOTHER 8.00 cable today and ill see if it works. wont know till i get up to speed sometime on sunday. it moved and worked ok in my driveway. (i live on 5 acres so i got it up to about 20mph) before i would be able to stop before i get to the barn. thanks.

Re: I NEED A SPEEDO CABLE FOR A86 IROC 2piece

I purchased new from GM. While more expensive, the fit was perfect.
