700r4 shifting problem

alright needless to say my r4 is acting up when im just cruising at points it can't decide what gear it wants to be in and jumps from 2nd to 3rd and 4th and back through and all over until i let off of gas. this only happens between 20-30 and 40-50 so highway is good. Now when when i floor it it acts fine chirps first gear and all no issues only when cruising i need the car please suggest i got money to spend so throw all ideas out tomorrow I'll do a flush and filter change. i think since its only happens during slight acceleration and maintaining speed it's like;ly to be the Throttle Positioning Sensor but still through ideas i work at a transmission shop so parts arent an issue thanks for help.

i would have to agree try tightening the tv cable a little bit it should move shift points just enough to keep it from kicking up and down

Re: 700r4 shifting problem

yes yes my boss told me to do that then after i told him it was a 1LE he went phsyco looking under the seat for the manafactures print off under the hood for all the code finally found them in the trunk jack box lol couldn't believe i was lucky enough to have one lol then he himself adjusted it. Then it clicked he was like it's all good but the shifts might be a little rough and maybe a little late lol. which it does don't kick overdrive until 72 lol but didnt solve the problem he said its probaly either the TPS messing up causing the torque converter to not lock completely or something along the lines of that so tomarow i'll check the voltage to the TPS if bad try to fix if not by pass all elctrical stuff in tranny and run one 12volt wire to the solenoid and ground it out on torque converter bell housing he said he did it before so yea lol any other ideas though xD
