Anyone use a TPIS aluminum driveshaft?
I have a 1990 RS with a 10bolt rear. Just changed the gears and went to put in the driveshaft and the u-joint is wrong. I bought this from a friend quite a while back and he had it in a '92 but put in a 12bolt later and must have changed the u-joint. Anyway I called TPIS and got 2 part numbers: Spicer 5-793X and Nepaco 2-0793. My mechanic said he had to cross those to one from GM Performance parts but it wont fit. Can anyone shed some light on this? I really want to put the driveshaft in soon.

Ask TPIS, if they put on a different(not 10-bolt sized) yoke. Like maybe....For bigger, stronger u-joints?

Maybe you can find an "adapter" u-joint? 12-bolt sized on 2, for the ds, 10-bolt sized to fit the 10-bolt.
