Opnions about positraction

So in the process of upgrading my rear end (i'd love a 9 inch but cant afford it) i found this unit:http://www.ringpinion.com/ProductDet...px?ProdID=1185

I was wondering if anyone had used it and if any other opinions on which unit i should use?

i figured this along with some 28 spline axleshafts, new ring and pinion and a c-clip eliminator(or would i even need one?) should get me down the road with my 350 good enough to smoke any blue oval that comes my way

Thanks for your help!

And yeah i know i spelled opinion wrong, i caught it after i clicked post new thread

Re: Opnions about positraction

The Truetrac is very popular with auto cross and road racers. It is smooth and gets you through turns better than most other differentials. It isn't the best for drag racing. I prefer the Eaton Posi for street/strip use. The Eaton Posi is $435 and the Truetrac is $390. These will fit your 26 spline axles. You will need bearigns and shims to install either one. They are $45.

Re: Opnions about positraction

also to stregthen....weld axel tubes around where tube meets center section (has only two factory spot welds), get the 28 spline axels, and a stud girdle cover with bearing press bolts on back. Run a good shock proof gear oil, and you should be fine for a lot of abuse.
