84 trans am rearend

I have a parts car that a 84 TA. It had a stick in it and has all wheel disc brakes. The guy thought it had 3.73's with no posi. Did you have to have the G92 option to get the disc brakes? Where you able to get disc brakes with no posi? Any help identifying this rear would be good.

If the car's an L69 (vin G), it would have been equipped with 3.73's. The rear may or may not have had discs and/or a limited slip.

Re: 84 trans am rearend

my 84 TA 305 HO came from the factory with 3:73 NON posi. GM was having a lot of trouble with posi units then. So got non posi w/disc brakes.
