3.18's?

Is this a real gear ratio? I counted it once then my dad counted it once(ring teeth and pinion teeth) and thats the ratio we came up with. Then when I came home to search for gears it says they do not exsist? So two people counted wrong im assuming? Or do I have a magic indy 500 racing rear end? ha. Mostly I just want to know so I can order 3.73 or 4.10s.

Re: 3.18's?

There is a 3.08, but not a 3.18. Math wrong?

Easiest way to find the ratio, is to dimply jack the rear end off the ground. Pop the tranny in Neutral & spin a tire, while counting how many times the pinion yoke rotates.

2 3/4 turns = 2.73/2.77.....
3 turns = 3.08.....
3 1/4 turn = 3.23/3.27.....
3 1/2 turns = 3.42.....
3 3/4 turns = 3.73
etc...
