They are stronger than the 10 bolt, but you can't get parts for them. Good luck with it. Some people have hit 11's. Depends on the car and traction.

You can get all the parts you want. Just not as easily going to whatever store you want to. And you'll pay a little more $, for the 10 bolt "equivalent" part.

I have a spare carrier that is worn if you need parts. I am trying to get out of 9 bolts. I also have a set of 3.45 gears.

I think they are, but not the cheapest to rebuild.
You could just get a complete LS1 rear end for a strong differential & bigger brakes.

They can be if your posi is still good. If not, go with a 4th gen rear.

Raytech is a lot cheaper for bearings/seals/shims.
