converting speedo from mechanical

i have a 91 rs camaro with a 700r4 the orignal trans was replaced with a 700r4 from a 86 camaro the trans had a mechanical driven speedo and my 91 is an eletric system is there conversion kits of can i convert it with the parts i have. thank you

Maybe just bolt the tailshaft from the 1991 tranny onto the rear of the 1986 tranny?

It's not just the tranny issue, but your instrument cluster as well, since it's also electrical a mechanical speedo unit would have to be swapped into your cluster.

So according to the link JamesC provided, if I'm reading it correctly, maybe you can just swap speedo housings on the trans rather than the entire tailshaft housing - which would be much easier. When I swapped speedo gears for a new rear end, I never looked close enough to see that the speedo gear housing will seperate off the tailhousing, but it makes sense.
