700r4 rebuild

Anyone know of someone who rebuilds transmissions? I have a 700r4 on an 88 iroc and it wont go into parking, and what would be a reasonable price to pay for a rebuild? Im in Los Angeles.

Re: 700r4 rebuild

If that's all that's wrong with it, then you don't need a rebuild. In fact, it may just be an issue with the shift cable. Either way, this is the sort of repair that you can and should do yourself.

Re: 700r4 rebuild

the thing is that i aint to mechanically knowledgeable and plus im taking out the engine so i might as well do the tranny while the engine is out, and i'm also gonna put in a stall converter might as well rebuild and not worry about any future problems. how hard is it to rebuild a 700r4 ?
