FLT 4L65/70E-5 Extreme Duty Level 5

Is anyone running a FLT 4L65/70E-5 Extreme Duty Level 5 transmission? What do you need to make it fit, or is it just a direct swap. I hear all I need is an aftermarket torque arm and a cross member.

Externally a 4L65/70 is the same as a 4L60. W/o digging into what exactly their "level 5" is, if it is the "e" electronic valvebody, you will need either a stand-alone transmission controller or a later model computer to operate it.

Just for reference, a local guy has killed at least 4 of that trans in his full weight LS street car that runs low 10's NA.

Those are awfully expensive, BTO's levels 3 and 4 700R-4s and 200-4Rs are rated to 620 ft-lbs and level 3 is half the price of the FLT level 5. Plus with the BTO, you don't need a computer to run the trans's shifting. I had my BTO level 2 700R-4 in my '88 When it was running low 10s, and I'm still using it in another vehicle.
