T-5 Damper Sleeve
Is this small plastic piece filled with grease to help eliminate noise/vibration?

Re: T-5 Damper Sleeve
The damper sleeve (aka shifter-cup) has a small amount of grease to limit wear to it from the shifter ball.. I've never seen/heard of it being filled with grease for the reasons you describe.

I've had the trans apart on a couple of occasions, but I couldn't recall if the sleeve was filled or not. I ask because a small buzz/vibration emanates from that general area from time to time.
