T5 Driveshaft

So I'm thinking about swapping in a T5, I want to get the T56 but can't afford it(college), i want to just get a manual now as i put a shift kit in the 700 and after 4k miles the case is cracked
so is the driveshaft the same length for the 700 and the t5, i know its the same for the t56 just never saw any info about this for the t5.

About how much does it cost to do the t5 swap, i know a junkyard that has thirdgens with manuals but i'm pretty sure there 4 speeds, but the pedals i would assume should be the same.

Re: T5 Driveshaft

sweet, i can still use my LS1 driveshaft then.

I picked up the pedals, master and resivoir, and shifter cover today. Unfortunately the car was a 2.8 5 speed, i was gonna buy the transmission crossmember but wasn't sure if it would work with the v8 trans.

BTW i saw that this jy just got a 85 Z28 in and it has a TPI engine in it, i asked him if i could buy the whole car but he didn't want to sell it, said he would sell the complete engine for 200 and its supposed to run good...

Re: T5 Driveshaft

The trans crosmember from your 700R4 will work with the T-5 also.
