I have currently upgraded my rear end in my 87 GTA and have a 9 Bolt Australian Built rear end c/w 3.73 gears and would like to sell the whole unit. Any ideas on an asking price would help me out alot. Thanks to all those who reply
My mistake it is the Australian built 9 bolt borg warner rear end with 3.08 gears and a posi. Had to turn the wheel and count revoulutions on yolk. I spoke to a guy up here from Edmonton at David T's Camaro and Firebird and he has told me $1500 complete.

You'll never get $1500 for a 9-bolt. DavidT needs to put down the crack pipe & step away.
MAYBE for the OEM 3rd gen Dana 44, but never for the BW M78. Not eve with 110% brand new parts, short of you finding a sucker!
Don't hold out for $1500. I sold a perfectly good (straight out of the 89 GTA & into his truck 15 feet away) one for $200.
Thanks for the input and appreciate your honesty. Just spoke to him again and said he would do a deal with me for that amount but not a cash deal only 1500 in parts that I may need for my car. Have got almost 45k into it now and just have odds and ends to do like interior, disc brake upgrade, and finish of with 4th gen wing install...you know all the small things that will nickle and dime ya to death
I got my true 3.73 gear set from Reider Racing a few years back, seems they don't make them anymore at least I can't find it on there website.
The demand for the 9 bolts is pretty low which drives the prices down because everyone thinks parts are hard to find when if fact they are easy to find with a little bit a effort. I completly redid mine with new axles, posi, gear set, bearings, girdle for around $1000 the only part I kept was the housing and axle tubes which I recommend welding and you have a pretty stout rear for a street car.
