So I picked up a 93 700r4/4l60 from a camaro z28 with the lt1. I'm putting it in my 86 Z. So i know i need to rewire it, i just don't know where to get the 5 pin connector to swap the wires into, didn't come with the tranny. I also read that i need to swap in my 4th gear clutch switch, is this in my old trans?
Another thing, its got a b and m shift kit, does that include the vette servo? I do have a transgo in my old trans that has about 4k miles on it so all those parts are good, so that vette servo could work in there. I'm just kinda weary about this tranny breaking like the old one
I think i'm gonna get it in the car change the fluid see how it shifts and maybe put the stock seperator plate in if it shifts to hard all the time, and maybe just put in the vette servo.
update: i found that plug is over $100 from gm, yea wtf???
I found a electronic parts place in tx, they have every delphi connector made and all the weatherpak ones. anyways I found the connector on there its only 6.95 from them i post a link tommorrow incase anyone else ever does this swap
I did order the plug from a Mouser electronics in texas and it was the right part, I just have to figure out how to wire it, as the GM article that said take the wire in slot A on the old one and put in slot A on new one etc... didn't work.
Now that spring is on its way here i can start working on it again, I'll just have to break out the volt ohm meter to find out which wire is which and hope thats the reason I don't have lock-up.
