its for a T56 from a 97 camaro i need to do the wiring for.
i have three connectors, two of which i know what they are.
the VSS, reverse lockout, and then this mystery one with only one wire coming out of it.

There is a VSS, Reverse lockout, and a Backup - lamp connector. however, the backup lamp connector should also have 2 wires coming out of it.

Re: T56 connector. cant figure it out for the life of me.

These should be all the connections. The weatherpac connector you have pictured doeant look to be to anything on the t-56...

EDIT- after running the part number on rockauto it seems the connector you have is a "glow plug connector". Definitely not for a t-56

Re: T56 connector. cant figure it out for the life of me.

yea i hooked up the vss and its "working," it just said i was going 140 in first gear around my block. i just got the switches on the box the wrong direction, and the car didnt feel like starting again after i fixed it.
what is the CAGS connector and what does it do?
and yea i do need the backup lights still.

anybody got part numbers for either?

Re: T56 connector. cant figure it out for the life of me.

CAGS = Computer Aided Gear Shift.

When you try to shift from 1st to 2nd at part throttle it locks out 2nd and forces the shifter over into 4th. It's a PITA! one of the first things I got rid of in my 4th gen.

I dont' remember a 1 wire anywhere on my T56, but it has been a bout 2 yrs since I changed my clutch. If you don't figure it out, let me know and tomorrow I can get under my T/A and see if I have a 1 wire connector on the trans anywhere.

I have a t56 sitting in my garage right now waiting to be installed. There are no single wire connectors on it.

that kinda looks like a connector for the auxilary fan switch on the passenger side head that kicks the fan on and off.

well thats stupid! is that what everyone calls skip shift?
i think the guy at the dealership just put the wrong part number in.
the only thing left that i need is the reverse lights.
i do believe i have it all figured out.
now i just have to get it all wired up.
ill probably be able to figure it out, but if anyone feels like telling me the wires and everything that go to the reverse lockout and reverse lights on an 89 iroc before i get under there again, it would be helpful.
