| Re: 1989 Camaro RS-700R4 Problems Personally I do not think that the ECM has anything to do with it because it does not control the shift points, only when the TC locks up, the newer 4l60e is controlled by the PCM. I would drop the pan and flush the tranny, put fresh oil and a filter if it has not been done in a while. Check the TV cable to make sure that it is adjusted properly. The only other thing is to bring it to a tranny shop.
