Best gears for me

I have a 1986 Sport Coupe Berlinetta with 3.42 gears that I swapped a 350 with a th350 transmission into. Since the transmission has no overdrive and the lower gears I'm driving at high rpm at 55. I don't drag race but I want something that will still give me a decent take off but better fuel mileage. What would you guys recommend?

Re: Best gears for me

The 3.42 is a popular gear for many daily drivers. If you want something that will work better on the highway then a 3.08 might work for you. It will cost you some performance.

Re: Best gears for me

Or sell the TH350 and get a 200-4R.
