They'll fit in the diff but not on the carrier. Your 2.73 gears are on a 2 series carrier. Those 3.73 gears need to go onto a 3 series carrier or need to use a spacer.
If you have a 2.73 then you have a 2 series differential. If these gears are the thick gears then you will be all right. If these gears are not the thick gears then you will also need a 3 series idfferential. The thick gear is made for the 2 series. Look up the part number and see if they are made for a 2 series or a 3 series. You can probably get that information from the Motive web sight.
Well, yes and no. Yes, it will work, for a while. No, it's not the best that you can do. The Eaton is a MUCH better unit and will last 10 to 30 times longer than that one, depending on how you drive.
Not for street use. They have small bearings in them that don't handle side loads very well and they tend to leak when used on the street. I don't think anybody makes c clip eliminators for the 3 bolt housig flanges.
I recently up- graded from 2.73 to 3.42 and a 28 spline Eaton posi.,new 28 spline axles and LPW Ultimate 10 bolt support cover and was worth every penny.
