i have installed a new spohn poly tranny mount into my 700r4 and the car has crazy vibrations now...i have two set of subframe connectors on and the car still vibrates like no ones business..... this is what i have... i didnt come with any "plate" or anything..... what can i do to reduce the vibrations.... thanks in advance...
go back to the rubber tranny mount - the car always has vibrations - the rubber mounts shield the interior from them, the poly mounts often accentuate them
i can live with some vibrations but is there a way to reduce it..... ive replaced the rubber mounts three times... i have a built 700r4 and built 355 hotcammed tpi engine and the stock rubber mounts are useless....
Some aftermarket poly mounts are a tiny bit taller than the rubber ones, causing the driveshaft angle to change. I'm assuming the vibration started with the addition of the poly mount, and it changes with road speed. You can try shimming the crossmember down some (lowing the back of the trans back to where it was). Or if you have an adjustable torque arm, adjust the pinion angle. It should be eqaual (but the opposite direction) to the angle of the driveshaft when it comes out of the transmission.
